Miss Who? Miss Lu!
Hello there! Thank you for stopping by and exploring my website. My name is Andrea Lu and I'm an aspiring Elementary Teacher. I graduated from UC Irvine with two B.A.'s in Education Sciences and Psychology & Social Behavior and a Master's in Teaching. I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (SB2042) with an English Learner Authorization. My classroom experience includes being a student teacher for a third grade class in Irvine Unified School District as well as a second grade class in Newport Mesa Unified School District.
For the past four years, I've been working at a non-profit organization called Pretend City Children's Museum, and I've gained tons of unique experience there. I created numerous lesson plans for demonstrations and activities to accommodate large audiences of ranging ages on all sorts of topics, such as cultural awareness, STEAM projects, and socio-emotional education. From dressing up as a witch for a secret potions class to demonstrating the significance and traditions behind Lunar New Year, I make learning purposeful and enjoyable for everyone.
Please feel free to contact me below with any questions or inquiries about my experiences!
